Stopped by after flying into DTW. Close to the airport in a nondescript building. The food was amazing. My dad got the lamb shank and raved it was the best lamb he’s ever had — actually, the only lamb he’s ever liked. My mom and I split the vegetarian combo for 2, and everything tasted fresh and amazing. Falafel was fried to order, not soggy. I love spinach pies, and these ones did not let me down. Generous portions, including of garlic sauce, which many places give such small amounts of. We loved it! Our impromptu stop at Andalus Mediterranean Grill turned out to be a delightful surprise. We were in a hurry after landing in Michigan, en route to Toronto, and needed a quick bite. The food here exceeded our expectations - it was not only fresh but exceptionally delicious. Our experience was made even better by our friendly server. She not only provided excellent recommendations but also checked in on us regularly, displaying remarkable attentiveness and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. The chef's expertise shone through in the dishes we ordered. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, the chicken shawarma had that perfect balance of spices, but the shish tawook stole the show. The meat was incredibly tender, bursting with flavor, and quickly became a favorite. The restaurant itself was clean and maintained high hygiene standards, which is always reassuring, especially during these times. Andalus Mediterranean Grill truly made our stop memorable, and we left with satisfied taste buds and smiles on our faces. Highly recommended for a satisfying and flavorful meal experience.
