4/5 While we were at the Hayat Mall today, we said, Where can we eat something tasty? Suddenly decided to come here because the reviews were good. First of all, I want to mention that it was noticeable that the oil used to prepare the food was of good quality. After eating, we didn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable. The dishes we liked the most were the mushroom soup and the chicken l’angette served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. They were veeeery delicious. It felt like there was fresh garlicin the mashed potatoes, which made the taste even more extra delicious. #yuuuuumy The lady who served our table, Lim, was sweet and friendly. However, there are a few points I would like to mention regarding the overall food service and table service. These are issues that can be fixed quite easily. First of all, our fork, knife, and spoon were served as plastic. This seriously bothered me, so I asked another staff member if they could replace them with a metal set. Because it felt strange for such a restaurant to provide plastic cutlery. Afterwards, Lim brought us metal cutlery. The second point is about the overall presentation of the food. Before tasting a dish, its presentation is what attracts us first, so I couldn’t skip mentioning this. Especially the weak presentation of the chicken quesadilla disappointed us. For example, it could have been served with mayonnaise, coleslaw salad, or something else on the side. Both the presentation and the taste of the quesadilla did not satisfy us, and it feels like the presentation of the other dishes also needs some improvement. But once again, I want to emphasize that the soup and the chicken with potatoes were very delicious. If you are looking for quality food, you can give Applebee’s located in Hayat Mall a chance.
