Tal y como sus asiduos lo ven, aquí la atmósfera es interesante. Es un restaurante con una estrella Michelin, un premio que normalmente se otorga por servir comidas apetitosas.

My first one star Michelin experience. I paid ca $85 for three courses: A beetroot soup, grilled octopus with shrimp bisque and chocolate cake and mousse. The sum is a bit more than I pay for a five course meal at decent restaurants in Norway. Considering this I found the experience a bit expensive even though it is a step up. The dishes were full of original while balanced flavors. The detailed fermented goat cheese cream touched the beautifully colored beetroot soup just perfectly. The octopus was flawlessly grilled, full of flavor without any fuzz. The shrimp bisque was an ocean of flavor. The chocolate cake was a bit disappointing, though. The slightly sharp cognac, ginger and sweet chocolate mousse was a great contrast to the more refined cacao centered cake. However, I still felt I could have expected more.

I absolutely loved my Araka dining experience! From the appetizers to the main dish, each bite was a delightful culinary trip. Some of the flavor pairings were quite unusual and I was initially a bit skeptical, but my skepticism immediately disappeared with the first bite. I was blown away by the creativity and the skillful execution of the dishes. The food was exciting, playful, and exquisite. Very familiar foods were transformed in such a way that they were still recognizable, but so deliciously redefined. The wait staff were so attentive and charming that I enjoyed them almost as much as the food. The restaurant’s atmosphere is modest and rustic (but very clean), which I personally liked because it feels homey. I love the idea of a fine dining experience which is accessible and comfortable. That being said, if you’re looking for architectural glamour and shine, this really might not be the restaurant for you. But the food speaks for itself and provides all the Michelin-level glamour.
