Unfortunately the owner deceived us. We went with a reservation and when we arrived he asked us where we were staying, if it was our first time in Turkey. We thought he was very kind and it was just to trick us with the price. In the end he brought us the handwritten bill worth 1200 TRY for two people. No alcoholic beverages. Only with a large bottle of water and the closed menu. Nothing else. For the area super expensive compared to other restaurants, even restaurants in better hotels. Ask before you go or before you start the price of the menu. Which is a closed menu. Only then and if you agree with what they are going to charge you, I recommend it. But without asking first it could happen to you like us and they charge you whatever the owner wants that day.

This was easily one of the best meals we had in Turkey. The host and his mother cook incredibly fresh ingredients from their garden and they make food so simple taste very complex. It’s a must!

The girlfriend found this place after some research online, and we had it marked for some time during our stay in Kappadokia. Turns out, it was the best meal experience of the entire vacation. It’s hidden in a small village (and Google maps has it in the wrong location). It’s a short drive outside the main tourist areas nearby, but extremely worth it. The service and hosting were top notch, the atmosphere of the terrace beneath the grape vines was perfect, and all of that was topped by the food. Incredible spread of homemade and homegrown dishes, we ate until we were stuffed. Definitely worth a stop for dinner, and frankly I would probably stay at the hotel next time I’m in the region to be somewhere away from tourists.
