The perfect secluded place in the woods. The 10 cottages are wide spaced, so there is plenty of privacy. The restaurant is very good and the service was accommodating and warm. We loved this place! Nearby activities: We did a superb snowmobile safari with Due North Safari. The scenic cruise ride was amazing and their equipment is first rate. Beautiful landscape with fells Food & drinks: Good choice Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value

While I appreciated the experience of Arctic Skylight Lodge, here are some things prospective stayers should know before booking. I wish I had known these things otherwise I probably would have explored other options for the price paid here. Pros: the glass igloo experience is beautiful and one of a kind and seeing the snowy trees in the wintertime is peaceful and relaxing the food served is excellent albeit expensive and the best in the area both owner and staff was warm and welcoming Cons: personally, the price for this igloo indicates a 5 star experience and that isn’t simply the case here the rooms are much tinier and cramped than what they look like in photos and there is hardly any place to put your things down, let alone space to sit down & eat in the room no water available unless you have a bottle and ask kitchen staff to fill it no coffee in the morning to take away (this is much needed especially when you have booked a tour through them and it’s in the early hours of the morning) booked a husky tour through them but was not told specifics on what would be included (for example, we did not know that we would be getting clothing included in our tour, so we purchased ahead of time) we stayed in cold winter weather but the igloo was so hot! i was unable to get any sleep because of the intense heat even despite turning the thermostat all the way down (note that the floors are heated too) with the price they charge, it’s a bit outlandish to charge 140 euros or so to use their sauna and jacuzzi (most places either offer sauna use as part of the lodging price or charge a nominal fee) the igloos are right next to each other (so if your curtains are open, you can see into your neighbor’s igloo and vice versa) they market Aurora watching as a key component of why you may want to stay there; however, the cabins are situated facing a forest with very tall trees so seeing the Aurora from the comfort of your cabin is rare. there is also no place or viewing platform to watch the Aurora when there is a sighting. this part was the most disappointing. even when there was a slight Aurora, it was blocked by the trees / forest. there are curtains on the sides but no curtain or shade on the ceiling (so the sun will be overhead especially in the summers when it’s midnight sun) not sure how people will sleep with that bathroom showers are limited to 15 minutes of hot water per hour (bathroom is tiny) quite a bit of a walk to the cabin from the parking area (you will be lugging your luggage about a 5-10 min walk or use a small sled in the snow) lights don’t shut off until 11 pm - this means that even if you have your curtains open to stargaze or what not, you can’t because of the light reflections on your windows and ceilings overall: I don’t regret the experience but am disappointed that I spent so much $$$ on staying here when I could have had better amenities for a similar price somewhere else Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 3

We have usually paper cups in cases like yours to take coffee with but unfortunately they were out at the moment and we don't get delivery's daily here in Lapland. Link we serve for everyone about activities, has all the information about company who is providing tours and what is included and we are happy to answer if any questions. Our rooms has floor heating and air condition, Temperature from both can be changed and if we would get information about it while your stay we could help you with it. We are operating during summer so rooms can be cooled down as well. Pricing for sauna, jacuzzi and ice hole is same than we have in the area and we are renting it only for private use. Rooms are located 25m away from each other and that way, that if you close your curtains in a half way your neighbour's will not see in your room. Rooms are in the forest, directly front of the rooms are cleared from trees but we wanted to save as many as we can since Northern lights are located in the sky so if there is any, you will see them. For summer we provide mask to cover your eyes and most of the people don't even use them since they come here to experience mid night sun. We have hot boilers in rooms so we can not unfortunately provide endless amount of hot water, it will heat up again in a hour.
