Gem of a place down in Leith area. Went for the Sunday roast, which ticked all the boxes, with the extra twist of the brisket inside of the Yorkie, delicious. Meat was on point, great quality food and enough of a portion. Price is more than reasonable.Maybe a bit on the saltier side but that could be personal preference. Definitely up there with the best roasts in the city at this point in time! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went on a Saturday with friends. About 8/ 9 of us. It is busy and it was a Saturday so very strict with reservation times. We all shared the brunch menu. Hash browns to start. We had a lactose free at the table and even the smell of the other she had to step out. I won’t lie it was very cheese. Personally how I like it and they were very good. Had chips and dip to share again chips are good. What more can you say they are chips but we cleared them. Dip was good Until 5pm the only main thing on the menu is the burger which we call had. It’s nice but too be honest it was average. Probably a little too expense for what I got but it was nice. Friend had one without cheese/ lactose but ended up having some so we had to swap it again. It also came out in tinfoil wrap. I’m not sure if this was meant to be a play on bougie but we did all think looks wise it had come out of the back of a van. Sorry just out thought. Wine wise very big selection and all very very nice. The servers seemed to be able to advise on what we liked. Allowing for tasting prior to taking a bottle so knowledge wise I cannot complain. Here was the but. I found that I arrived 5 mins after half the party was seated and they had already got a bottle. I found the promptness of service wasn’t there especially when it was clear we had no drinks. So from this note I didn’t have time for a few more orders Summary. Very good at wine selection, tasting Average food which I don’t think is on part with how bougie the place is. For food I wouldn’t go again for wine tasting I’d definitely go, I’d maybe just be a little more prepped to be getting a servers attention Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Ardfern is a genuinely exceptional dining experience. The food delivers on its hype. Classic, simple, elevated. Outstanding wine selection. Beautiful, light-filled little space. All staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Gorgeous. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £60–70 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section Dietary restrictions: Catered for my peanut allergy breezily. Felt totally at ease. Kid-friendliness: Patient and kind with toddler (and dog).
