We had a lovely mid-morning coffee and pastry here -- the staff was super friendly and offered us great tips for the town (especially helpful to find a place to watch the world cup game!), the coffee was delicious (oatmilk mocha!), and the pastries were tasty and fresh. The venue offers both a self-service order screen outside and counter ordering inside, and everything was ready quickly. They had three outdoor tables out front where we had shade and could enjoy the passersby and town atmosphere. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20

Aria is a cozy little cafe at the end of Main St in Murphys. A fantastic spot across from the historic hotel. It's the perfect place to sit and rest after a walk through the shops and wine tastings. It's a beautiful patio for a morning breakfast, drink, and treat. Everything is baked fresh and the smell is amazing. I try something new every time I go, of their 10+ baked goods, sweet and savory, and I really love all of them. Some days I want their truly excellent scone, I love their coffee cake, and sometimes I just want to indulge with a cinnamon roll. Their bagles and foccacia are excellent. Their breakfast sandwiches are a great option to go or to enjoy on the the patio. Since the new owners renovated Aria, I keep seeing new enhancements. It's obvious that they really care to make Aria a special place. I highly recommend. Oh, and don't sleep on their espresso bar. They have a wide range of quality coffee and tea drinks plus a fridge full of bottled drinks. Aside from Gold Country, Aria has the best cafe drinks in Murphys. Stopped in here while working in town and when I tell you I will absolutely drive the hour away just to come back for this place. Its on the cutest street, looks like a chic classic bakery and when you walk in you can tell not only are the pastries baked with love the entire space is filled with love. You can tell someone went to great lengths to make their vision come to life and I appreciate that so much. I can't wait to make the drive back up to visit again!
