As I saw some comments about this place, some people have misunderstood. This restaurant and the biriyani restaurant is different! It's actually a little confusing because the entrances are next to each other. Anyway, this place is pretty good. Price of beer and food were reasonable. I loved the food. One bad thing was one staff seemed to hate taking care of a foreigner who can't speak their language(me!).

This is a real bar. Office man while going home, put a couple of drinks with a pieces of fried fish and an union, goes to this place. According to the amount of cash you have in the pocket, this is the drinking place. No extra cost. Gal half, 1 soda bottle, 2 pcs of fried fish n union with 2 gold leafs. Less than Rs. 1,000/- 2 fellows satisfied.

The restaurant has been fully redone and is now functioning as a Biryani restaurant. The restaurant has a variety of biryani and North Indian cuisine, alongside Sri Lankan traditional rice and curry. Portion sizes (of the biryani) are moderate but the rice served is spicier thus the taste has a more authentic feeling.There is both a takeaway and a dining area. Thr fine in area is large and clean - a rarity inrestuarants in this part of the town - probably because the restaurant has been reopened recently.Prices are as per the market rate.Not sure if the bar is still functioning.
