Este restaurante es famoso por tener cocina japonesa. La mayoría de los clientes de Asahi afirma que aquí tienen una sabrosa carne de vaca. Por si todo esto fuera poco, su personal es alegre. While the food itself is acceptable, the service (or lack of) is appallingly poor and overshadows any positives. The seating practices are also troubling - non-Japanese diners are consistently grouped together and placed in neglected sections of the restaurant. This felt exclusionary and left a very negative impression. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥6,000–7,000 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Stayed at Lotte Arai on July 19. As it was during the State of Emergency and in the summer, there was almost nobody staying at the hotel except for a kids' camp and a few other families. We stayed in the Arai building. Our stay included breakfast, at either the Plate (Western) or Asahi (Japanese). We chose Asahi in the Lodge, which is just next door to the Arai building. We were presented with 2 choices and we both chose option 1 (hot pot set). It was delicious and lots of variety from fish to veggies. They had a self-serve beverage bar with juices, coffee/espresso, tea, fruit vinegar as well. Great option for breakfast and the setting was quite nice with the large windows facing the mountain activities.
