We were visiting the area and got the GPS out to look for an Asian Restaurant. My Yelp application on my cell phone wouldn't open up so figured we would give the Asian Sky Restaurant a try. When we entered, we were promptly greeted by a young man at the cash register counter. A young lady came over and asked where we wanted to be seated, booth or chair. They were busy and there was only one booth open so we headed there. The wait person promptly came to our table and got our drink orders and left he menus with us. Menu does not offer any combination selections on weekends, only on weekdays. We picked a few entrees as possible selections to order but not being familiar with the portion sizes, when the waitperson came back we asked a few questions and received useful information so we placed our order, Chicken Moo Goo Gai Pan. It came with an eggroll and white rice. On the table was a small jar with warm sweet and sour sauce in it. When our food came, the eggroll included with the meal was smaller than what I am used to. We split it and were not impressed with the flavor or texture. We tried the sweet and flour sauce from the jar, before putting it on any food and found that it had a really off flavor, wife said it had a metallic like taste so we passed on the sweet and sour. Egg Roll flavor seemed somewhat bland compared to what we get at our favorite Asian Restaurants in Northwest Tucson. The wait person checked on us periodically and kept out drinks full and our bowl or white rice full. The Moo Goo Gai Pan seemed somewhat bland and lacking flavor as well. There was plenty on the dish for both of us to get enough to eat, they did not scrimp on the amount of the main dish. For my wife and I, the food was not what we expected and would not dine at Asian Sky again, if we happen to be in that area. The food was okay and plentiful and the customer service was pretty good.
