Absolutely amazing service. I have a very restricted diet due to histamine issues and gluten intolerance, so eating out is usually really difficult for me. Most places simply can’t cater to what I can eat. A big thank you to Min, who looked after me and went above and beyond. They fully customized a meal for me with rice, carefully selected vegetables I could tolerate, cucumber and lettuce on the side, and topped it with pork and chicken. They even separated the yolk from the egg white for me, which showed they were really listening and paying attention to my dietary needs. That level of care is incredibly rare. The staff were polite, accommodating, and genuinely kind. The meal was also very reasonably priced, and on top of that they gave me a free bottle of water and even a container of cashew nuts to eat in the car afterwards, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s honestly rare for me to find anywhere that can cater to my diet and make me feel properly looked after. Highly recommend Aspendale Cafe. I’ll definitely be back, and I’m not even local. Amazing vegan banh mi! Full of flavour and a perfectly crispy roll. My partner and sister loved their pork banh mi too :) run by lovely people! We’ll be back when we are in the area Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
