Sad to hear that Assini's has closed it doors; although for understandable reasons. We supported when we lived closer but had moved away from the area about a decade ago. Never could make it back often enough. It was charming little place to visit and enjoy a large dinner, or a coffee and tiramisu. Will continue to remember it fondly! Good luck to Vic and the staff! Food is quite delicious, although the calamari was tender, it was overly salty. The portion sizes are reasonable, given the current economy, and the owner is friendly. Will come again, as we had an enjoyable experience overall. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We had the opportunity, let's change that to pleasure, of eating at Assinis Greek Restaurant. first I would have to say its a nice looking place, not too small but quant with lots of Greek images, very relaxing. Everyone that greeted us were very pleasant, and made us feel like friends. Ordered and the food came very quickly (meaning the food was fresh and hot). the Salad came first and we all had the Greek salad and it was fantastic, I usually nibble at my salad before the main course comes out, but I quickly finished it, Highly recommend it for salad. The main course was fantastic, I had the Greek ribs, flavorful and cooked to perfection, as was everything else on my plate. Wife had Lamb Souvlaki, and she did not have time to talk, she was so busy enjoying her meal. All throughout our visit Staff made us feel at home and well cared for. We are definitely going back there. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30
