Although we feared the unusual menu offerings would be too eclectic to be truly satisfying, our fears proved groundless from the first bite of the rosette starter. Its sweet onion jam nicely offset the tang of the goat cheese with each savory bite. And our first experience at Atoma only got better with each successive dish: the delectable Sockeye salmon with sugar snap peas and pea pods came in a light sauce that made me want to lick the bowl so as not to leave behind a single drop; the very generous portion of gem lettuce with pleasingly salty croutons and a green goddess dressing so fresh it bears little resemblance to its namesake that I grew up with in the '70s; the halibut--oh my--was such perfection that I could forgive the cilantro that made the harissa green and made my usually fish-avoiding daughter state she'd eat it every day if made that way; the crumpets, one of my favorite bread forms, were (to me) the only slightly off note, as they were nearly burnt on the bottom and heavier and tougher than my ideal, but the butter and honey were delicious on them. We ended this sumptuous feast with the Bananarama dessert, a surprisingly not-too-sweet, mouth-watering confection that proclaimed its homemade superiority down to the last luscious spoonful. We came because of the Chase Sapphire Dining Credit, and wow—we were so impressed. Thank you, Atoma team! We had a wonderful dining experience tonight. The food was incredibly refined, with beautiful presentation and impressive attention to detail. Every dish was thoughtfully seasoned, and the flavors were perfectly balanced and memorable. I’ve also dined at Cafe Juanita using the Chase Sapphire Dining Credit, which is another outstanding fine dining restaurant. However, I felt that Atoma’s dishes were even more refined, with more creative and precise seasoning. The overall execution truly stood out. What surprised me even more was how reasonable the pricing felt for this level of quality. Considering the caliber of the food and the experience, Atoma offers exceptional value and never felt more expensive than other restaurants in the same category. The service was warm, welcoming, and professional, and the entire experience felt polished from start to finish. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend Atoma to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. After a quick chat with the staff, it was so refreshing to see how much everyone genuinely loves their job. You could really feel how happy they were to be there. I also asked why Atoma closes for two days a week instead of just one. They told me it’s because they want their team to have a real weekend and enough time to rest. I thought that was incredibly thoughtful and speaks volumes about how much they care about their people. It’s truly heartwarming to see a restaurant that values both its guests and its staff. One last thing—I noticed some one-star reviews after experiencing Atoma for myself, I honestly found them rude and disrespectful. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional, from the food to the service to the genuine hospitality of the entire team. Restaurants like this are built by people who clearly care deeply about what they do. I truly hope more guests take the time to leave thoughtful reviews when they’ve had a great experience, because I genuinely believe Atoma deserves an even higher rating.
