This is very sad to give 2 stars at this time. This is my second time being here. The food was great. I went there on Sunday. Maybe a bit busy; only two members were working. The food was serving within 15 min, but the steamed rice came in 30+ min later. It’s not only me; other customers were also disappointed. But the most disappointed was my garlic rice. It was cold, literally coming from the fridge. I asked one of the staff if this is supposed to be cold. He said, “No, but do you want to change?” I mean, the rice is cold as rock. I can’t eat it. Just unfortunately, this time was disappointing. Price per person: $40–60 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Went to Aung Lo for dinner & ordered their giant pork set mookata with sides of garlic rice, crispy enoki mushrooms & seaweed. The pork slices were decent quality, but as they weren’t marinated the overall flavour was quite bland. The sides were much more enjoyable, especially the crispy enoki mushrooms & garlic rice, which were both very tasty. It was also extremely hot inside with all the table cooking, so the dining experience wasn’t particularly comfortable & the chairs didn’t help either. Overall, it didn’t feel like great value for money as it was quite expensive for a casual dinner setup. On the plus side, service was prompt & the eclectic interior design created a fun atmosphere. Aung Lo offers a fun and flavour‑packed take on Thai and Japanese cuisine, blending bold Southeast Asian flavours with the interactive appeal of Japanese BBQ‑style dining. It’s a lively spot that feels designed for sharing, grilling, and enjoying food together. The menu centres around JBBQ‑inspired dishes, with well‑marinated meats and seafood that are perfect for cooking at the table. Thai influences come through in the sauces and seasonings, fragrant, punchy, and balanced with just the right amount of heat, while Japanese elements keep everything clean and umami‑driven. Highlights include tender grilled meats, punchy dipping sauces, and sides that cut through the richness nicely. The atmosphere is energetic but relaxed, making it ideal for group dinners or casual celebrations. Service is attentive and helpful, especially for first‑timers who may be new to the BBQ setup, with staff happy to explain how best to enjoy each dish. Aung Lo stands out for its confident fusion and interactive dining experience. If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual Thai or Japanese fare, this is a spot that delivers flavour, fun, and plenty of reason to come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
