When I told him the dialect that I usually use, he told me with a big smile, ``I don't think anyone speaks that dialect these days. Only old ladies from the countryside do.'' Even though I was only 24 years old, I was told this by another customer. Even though I had just become a child, I was treated like an old woman from the countryside, which made me very sad. It can't be helped if she looks like a grandma... Also, I live in a not-so-rural part of Nagoya, so even though I didn't know anything about it, I was treated like a country person, which made me sad.
