BEF is Korean fried chicken/Korean bar type food located in Akasaka. My partner and I had been wanting to dry this place for a long time so we went one cold snowy night and were happy to find that we had the whole place to ourselves. We ordered chicken wings, and Korean style fried chicken – boneless, Korean spicy kind, as well as some kimchi side dishes. Overall it wasn’t bad, but the spicy boneless chicken was not spicy at all, but tasted really sweet to me. My partner liked his chicken wings, but overall I was disappointed with the taste of everything. Coming from the U.S. where it is easy to find good Korean fried chicken, this place was sort of lackluster. Service was decent though, and the location is convenient so it is worth a try if you’re in the area, I don’t know that I will be back though.
