I simply wandered by this cafe after having tried to visit another place that was closing. So, complete chance, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's on the canal with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I had the salmon; it was perfectly cooked with some fresh grilled vegetables and sweet potato puree. Beautifully plated. I would have liked some rice or bread, but they indulged me with some bread. Then I had their famous in-house Rolo Creamy Cheesecake. I am not a Rolo candy fan (wasn't allowed these sweets as a kid), but it was delicious. The whole meal was super satisfying and I topped it off with a matcha. I'd definitely come back and recommend it for a chill burger or a more healthy salmon. There are also bites. 5 for perfectly cooked fish. 5 for friendly service: Andre was super hospitable and kind and made me feel at home. Thank you, Andre and kudos to the cook!

We hebben afgelopen vrijdag heerlijk gegeten bij By Ami. Het persoonlijk was vriendelijk, snel en had goed overzicht. De Bavette was lekker mals en het hoogtepunt was de cheesecake. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €30–40 Vegetarian options: Kipburger and gnocci.
