I ordered the “Gin Fizz”, which the menu purported to contain mint, mandarin, and pepper in addition to gin and tonic. However, when I received the drink neither the appearance nor taste suggested any ingredients beyond gin and tonic. To make sure, I had my friends taste as well, and to quote one, “I’ve had many gin and tonics in my life, and that is a gin and tonic.” When I brought up I could not taste any of the other elements of this cocktail the menu boasted, I was met with confusion. Since I had my heart set on a slightly more exotic option than a plain gin and tonic this particular evening, I ordered a different drink (it was fine), and after receiving it, the waitress took away the (still full) gin and tonic. In the end, we were charged for both drinks, however. If I had known this were to be the case, I wouldn’t have let the gin and tonic be whisked away— I would rather power through an extra cocktail than waste 11 euro! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
