I really want to appreciate the gentleman working at the Kings Meadows store (one on the road, not inside the complex). A few months ago, I visited this same store and noticed they had bacon and egg buns pre-made and kept on display. Being vegetarian, I asked him if he could make a fresh one for me without bacon. He happily did so — and with such a genuine smile. After that experience, I visited a few other Banjo’s stores and made the same request, but the usual response was that everything was pre-made. So I stopped asking. This morning, I went back to the Kings Meadows store and, coincidentally, it was the same staff member again. I asked if I could have a fresh bun without bacon, and once again he respected my dietary preference and made one for me without hesitation. Honestly, it made my day. The way I was served — with kindness, respect, and a positive attitude — really stood out. We’re often quick to leave reviews when we’re unhappy, but I felt it was important to appreciate someone who simply chose to be a good human. Thank you for the lovely service — it truly meant a lot. Tried a chunky steak pie at Kings Meadows Tasmania, and as soon as I finished, I wanted another. Pastry, is crispy on outside and not soggy inside, with a local bakery taste, almost perfect. Meat to gravy ratio is great with a nice amount of big tender chunks, well flavoured and did not require any sauce. I also tried a sausage roll and to my surprise they only offer party size, which leaves me wondering why. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: A$1–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
