First it was the beer then it was the people - amazingly friendly staff and customers, some of whom we’d met on the golf course (see separate review). Phil was super knowledgeable about the beer and had a fabulous selection - our favourite at the time was the Crooked River Chocolate Stout. Prices are very good! We honestly felt like locals after just 3 visits (we were only in town for 4 - that tells you something!). Beer changes often but there are always local beers on and loads in the fridge in cans too. Great selection of gins and wines if beer isn’t your thing. Screens around the pub advertising local attractions and what drinks they had on offer. Absolutely adored this place, it would be my local if I lived in Settle . Thanks so much Phil, we will be back Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm not a drinker not did I eat here but I was a damsel indestress I had been on a day trip to York and found myself stranded with a dead phone battery so nipped in bar 13 and asked for assistance. The lovely gentleman behind the bar was very helpful called us a taxi and made sure we were ok. Honestly thank you from the bottom of my heart we now know for next time to carry battery packs ( from the stranded tourist who should have known better) Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
