I was in the Financial District / St. Lawrence neighbourhood looking for a spot to enjoy dinner with my partner when he finished work on a Friday evening. The OpenTable app indicated that the 6:15 pm timeslot available at BarNotte was the last timeslot available for the evening, urging me to book quickly. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty. Literally. And no one new joined us for the hour or so we were there enjoying our meal. This suited us just fine and made the experience intimate and quiet, but the manufactured urgency was definitely curious. We enjoyed their $25 Summer Eats 3 Course Menu prix fixe menu, which was tasty (especially the Truffle Shrooms pinsa!!) and great value, especially considering the cocktail I ordered was $14, with some currently listed at $18. You won't take home leftovers but you won't leave hungry (and we've left hungry after 3-course meals at other restaurants that cost $75 pp during Winter/Summerlicious in the past, so....).

Another exceptional night out, this time impromptu on our part. The team was lovely all around and had great suggestions. Food and drinks arrived quickly. Once again, highly impressed with this amazing restaurant!
