Very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the service felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. We were the first customers of the day, arriving at 3pm, yet we were not greeted warmly and felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. Unfortunately, the food was equally disappointing. Aside from the bread (which was still a little too oily) and the cornichons, none of the dishes were enjoyable, and we struggled to finish them. We left most of the food untouched or only partially eaten, yet no staff member checked in to ask how our meals were or whether everything was okay. Even when paying the bill, no one asked for feedback despite it being obvious that very little of the food had been eaten. The wine also tasted off to us and was left unfinished. I mentioned to who I assumed was the manager that there appeared to be sediment in the wine, but was simply told that it was normal for that type of wine. I also noticed our glasses were poured from a bottle that had already been opened, so I was left wondering how long it had been open. No further questions were asked, nor was there any attempt to understand our concerns or gather feedback. We are not the type of customers to complain unprompted, but there were several opportunities throughout the meal for staff to check in and ask how our experience had been. The one positive was our waiter, who was pleasant and attentive. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell well below expectations, and we will not be returning.

The space was nice but the music was so loud and weird we changed our plans for a few bottles and food and left. Every table around us was commenting on the music too unfortunately. Very strange atmosphere for a wine bar. The food we did have was quite nice. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

We let the chef pick for us. My gosh what a ride! 5 courses of deliciousness. I can't recommend highly enough, attentive, knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere ( was pretty loud but they were busy on a friday night, so to be expected) and the food was genuinely just a delight. As Molly Meldrum would say, do yourself a favour and check it out. Thankyou Bar Rogue for a lovely experience :)) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
