Absolutely unacceptable experience at this Barn’s branch. One of the employees had the audacity to ask, “If you don’t know Arabic, why are you in Saudi?” That is an incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional thing to say to a customer. What language I choose to speak is none of his concern. We were simply placing an order in English. What made the comment even more baffling was that both employees were communicating with us in English themselves, so there was clearly no language barrier. Instead of serving us, they chose to lecture and argue. To make matters worse, the second employee stepped in—not to apologize or de-escalate the situation—but to defend his colleague and tell us to “speak properly.” Imagine arguing with paying customers instead of doing the job you are there to do. The complete lack of professionalism, respect, and customer service was shocking. Customers should never be made to feel unwelcome or judged over the language they choose to speak when communication is perfectly possible. This was my first experience with Barn’s, and it was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Management should seriously look into the conduct of the staff at this branch.
