Aquí vas a pagar unos precios interesantes. Sus clientes saben apreciar su hogareña decoración. Pero la valoración global de este restaurante no es muy alta en Zomato.

Since they changed the menu this place is...well...garbage.  the menu is far inferior to what it was and I can't understand why they would even change a winning formula.  Service is nice ..decor is ok...food...not so much

Very expensive for what we were given. We also thought the menu would display more Mexican cuisine, but were sad to see a lot of basic blah foods. That must be where they got the name from. The food took entirely too long to get out to us, but the wait staff were more than lovely about it. They tried to make up for the kitchen taking so long.

Update 12/20/17: This place is no longer Básico but mixon grille. It feels and tastes like pool side service rather than a restaurant. I really liked Básico and the food they offered. I had a work lunch here at 11:30 on a Wednesday. The only other party there that I could see was a 20 person table that looked like an office Christmas party. They got their appetizers as soon as my work party of 6 sat down. No one else in this place except for what looked like a party being set up in their side room. It took 40 min for our food to come out. And of course it was probably due to the 20 person party that was there before us but still yet that was a ridiculous amount of time to be waiting on "pool side" food. My Básico bowl with pulled pork was bland. It was like the flavors themselves were muted and unsurprising. The coconut rice was sub par. Quest chihuahua and spice line crema was no where to be found because their flavor was not even there. I found a huge chunk of pork in my dish at the end and couldn't even cut it with the knife provided so it was left there. I am giving it three stars only because my coworker said the arugula salad with wine poached pears was amazing although a tad small for my taste. Everyone else thought their food was ok but how hard can a pulled pork sandwich and tacos be. Oh and if the menu says avocados and my plate comes out with guacamole, at least put some salt or seasoning in it. Because bland guacamole is the worst. Previous review: I have been here a few times. It has always been good for the few things I have tried on their menu. I have been here for lunch and brunch. My most recent experience was with brunch. We were the only ones there in the main area. I think they were having a party in the side room so that may have influenced our service a little. We started with the 4 salsas and guacamole with chips appetizer. The guacamole is amazing!! The one light orange dip is a little strange and we found it to be effervescent especially with the cocomojito. The waiter said it shouldn't be like that but I am not sure what is in it but it may be old? We had five of us and ate the chips fairly quickly because we were hungry and couldn't find anyone to help us get more. We finally were able to get more chips when our waiter finally showed. Mind you there was still no one else there. We finally got our food after 30 minutes, at which a few people had walked in. I had the brisket hash that was good but could have used more flavor and maybe some salt. The gravy didn't have much flavor to it and could have been better. The brisket was soft but there were a lot of fatty pieces that I am sure could have been pulled out while they were shredding it. I really liked my friends avocado chicken Caesar salad.  It was very flavorful and had a great crisp fresh taste. The chicken looked plain and I didn't want to try it. The chicken and churros were good! The churros were nice and hot. But the chicken could have been hotter and cooked a little longer to get a crisp on the outside. The cocojito drink was really good! I feel like for the lack of actual customers and the five servers I had seen there, the food should have been quick and hot. We do like it here so we will probably come back to try some different things.
