I visited this restaurant to celebrate my friend's baby shower, and I had high expectations because my friend had spoken very highly of it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Even though we were the only group there for dinner, no one attended to us promptly. We waited almost 30 minutes before anyone came to serve us. During that time, no water was offered, there was no welcome or pre-service attention, and no one acknowledged that we had been waiting. We were close to leaving, but we didn't want to ruin the celebration, so we decided to stay. The only time the manager stepped in was after we insisted on finding out why no one had attended to us and where the service staff were. By then, the poor first impression had already been made. Thankfully, the food was good and helped make up for some of the disappointment. We also noticed that there was a manager and supervisor present, but only one member of the service staff genuinely took good care of us. Thanks to his effort, our experience improved, and we truly appreciated his attentiveness. Overall, however, I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends. I expected much more, especially considering it is part of the St. Regis brand. This experience was not what I have come to expect from a St. Regis-branded restaurant. I left feeling disappointed, as the level of service did not reflect the standards and hospitality that the brand is known for. What made it even more disappointing was that I felt the need to plan another baby shower celebration for my friend just to make up for this underwhelming experience. I had hoped this dinner would be a memorable and special occasion, but instead, I left wishing I had chosen a different venue. The food has great presentation but lacks taste in general. Very low quality meal not worth the price. Being at the beach they display frozen salmon packages instead of fresh fish. Not enough variety compare to its competitors. A disappointment to the brand St.Regis. The atmosphere is good with the dancers and DJs, as well as presentation and decoration. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Don’t Waste Your Money – Incredibly Disappointing Experience I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at The Bay View Restaurant was completely unacceptable from start to finish. For a venue in Doha that positions itself as a premium spot, the service and food quality were shockingly poor. Here is exactly how our evening went: The Food & Timing: The food quality itself was mediocre at best, but the kitchen timing made it worse. Our main courses were brought out at the exact same time as our starters, cluttering the table and making it impossible to enjoy either. The Service: After finishing the first round, the staff cleared away our plates and cutlery but never bothered to bring us fresh ones for the rest of the meal. We were left sitting there waiting. The Drinks Comedy: We ordered sparkling water. They initially brought still water. When they finally corrected it and brought sparkling, it was completely warm. We asked for ice to make it drinkable, which took another 15 minutes just to arrive at the table. Everything about the service was painfully slow and disorganized. Long story short: save your time, avoid the frustration, and don’t waste your money here. There are far better options in Doha. Meal type: Brunch
