At the SLS Hotel in Brickell, you will find the Bazaar Mar restaurant, whose fame rests on the laureate Spanish chef Jose Andrés, who as a young man settled in Washington and from there he has dedicated for more than 20 years to reinvent the dishes of the Latin, Caribbean, Asian and of course, Spanish cultures.

Each creation contains the taste memory of his homeland, which invites to a trip of unique flavors and aromas. The presentations of the dishes, in many cases de-construction of famous meals, are beautiful works of art. And of course, there are some creations in honor of the master of modern gastronomy, Ferran Adrià.

Bazaar MAR specializes in seafood, which is combined with ingredients and dishes of the Spanish cuisine. It has a good selection of wines and a warm bar that invites you to enjoy the moment. The atmosphere is cozy and the place has a bold and striking decoration.

The restaurant is located in the SLS hotel. The servers both in the restaurant and in the outdoor bar were friendly. This is definitely a great spot for people watching. The decor is eclectic.
The food is served taps style. While I enjoyed most items the quantity was not sufficient. There were two of us dining that evening and the bill was almost $200 without drinks and we both left hungry. If the food is meant to be shared it was a bit strange that some of the items came out with 3 portions. Would have expected an portion that would be even between two diners.
This is the kind of place to try once for the experience.

Even before South Florida had two gems by Chef José Andrés, I’d visited (and loved) SAAM at The Bazaar in Beverly Hills for a memorable and glam birthday celebration. Needless to say, I’m ecstatic we now have a couple of our very own Bazaars! The first, The Bazaar South Beach, happens to be one of my top favorite restaurants (even placing fourth on my Top Ten Restaurants of 2016 list posted several weeks ago). The second, newly opened Bazaar Mar.
