It's a nice place to have a pint and see the great view of the Cathedral. Mixed drinks were average not great and the pizza needs work. Staff was pleasant. Empty tables were reserved for later arrivals.. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Arrived saturday afternoon after booking a table. There was no free tables. Asked one of the staff about our reservation and she came outside to the rooftop and said “oh looks like someone has sat in your table as I definitely reserved on”. No offer to ask someone to move. Thankfully a table was leaving at this time. There was no cocktail menu and a seat had no cushion. The staff member said she’d go get these for us. We never saw her again!! We got a menu from another table. There was one menu for the whole of the rooftop! When going inside to order there was one member of staff on the bar. It’s saturday afternoon in 22 degree sun, why was there only one staff member?! By the time I was eventually served the bar member was not conversational and rather rude. Asked for a jug of sangria and got an eye roll as she had to go get a clean jug from the glass wash area. She then served the drink with no fruit. I wouldn’t have minded except others before in the queue did get fruit! I asked if there was any fruit we could possible have and the bar woman replied sarcastically “my bad how could I ever forget the fruit”. I’ve been to Becketts numerous times and this was by far the worse experience I’ve had. It explains why the google review score is so low. Sadly think another rooftop bar in Exeter know what they’re doing and has better service so will be going there more from now on Price per person: £10–20 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Had a great evening at Becketts Rooftop Bar! Tucked away in the heart of Exeter city centre, it offers just the right mix of relaxed vibes and lively atmosphere. We especially appreciated the smooth table service — attentive and efficient without ever feeling rushed. It made the night flow perfectly. The staff friendliness really stood out. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming, creating a laid-back yet polished experience. The cocktails were excellent, and the rooftop views added a special touch to the evening. If you’re looking for a rooftop spot in Exeter with great drinks, friendly service, and a city-centre location, Becketts Rooftop Bar is definitely worth checking out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40
