Went to Bekendales as our first post lockdown brunch. We were greeted and seated however this is where the good service seemed to end. Our drink orders were taken and brought out in a timely manner, then our food order was taken however we were waiting for approximately 50 minutes for our food. The young lady who took our order even glanced over at our table at one point to check to see if we have received our food, she did not even come to check on us. I then went to the main counter to check to see why our food was taking so long, only to be told that our order never went through in the first place. This was followed by the statement " What would you like to do ? " baring in mind it is well past lunch time and we were both hungry. We then had to repeat our orders and was told "this will be brought out quickly" . Quick it was indeed as the food also was poor and rushed. My friends food was cold and sloppy and my mushrooms on toast were below average, especially for the price I paid. We notified our server that we were extremely dissatisfied with the food, it was clearly visible that both of us did not enjoy our meals as we left our plates full. Nothing was done about this apart from a verbal "sorry". It is extremely disappointing as I had a great experience at Bekendales last year. We will not be returning, nor recommending this cafe to others.
