Bella Roti Canai is a small stall set up in front of another food shop near Ampang Hospital. Seating is very basic, with plastic tables and chairs and only a couple of standing fans, so it can feel quite hot while dining. The roti canai is prepared fresh on site, with the dough being stretched at one outdoor station and then fried on another. They offer several varieties of roti canai and three curry options — dhal, curry, and sambal. The menu also includes other items such as roti power, roti kacang pool, roti sarang burung, roti sardine, and roti with egg. I ordered two roti canai kosong (RM5), which included a teh tarik. The roti was decent but not particularly crispy. They were stacked one on top of the other, which made the bottom piece softer and less crispy. The curry served appeared to be fish-based and quite thin, mostly liquid. It tasted acceptable but wasn’t particularly memorable. The teh tarik with reduced sugar came out a brownish-orange colour, suggesting it may have been made with powdered tea. It tasted somewhat over-brewed and slightly bitter, while still being overly sweet. Overall, the ambience is very basic, with minimal seating comfort and a simple roadside stall setup. It’s an okay stop for a quick roti canai, but nothing especially standout, but good value for money.
