Was visiting the area for work, and wondered why is there a que at this establishment. Curiosity got me ,.I was welcomed by friendly staff and beautifully displayed food in the cabinets at the entrace, Its Casual,.i found a nice seat toward the middle of one of the communal benches. I mistakenly ordered take away, though this was not a problem to sit and enjoy a freshly squeezed juice, breakfast roll and coffee which was brought to my seat very promptly. The breafast roll was a little lacklustre for the price, the juice was spot on! Having not had their "Bertoni" blend of coffee previously and after having it i now, i appreciate why there is a que. Delicious, coffee, still would like to know more about the Bertoni story Warm friendly service with smiles. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It is not only disgusting to have people drinking and eating at your cafe and provide them with no bathroom and force them to use a public bathroom, it is also illegal. It is a legal requirement to provide that. Gross, unprofessional, very very low end establishment. Super weird that the ex owner had responded. NCC specifies that if you host a min of 20 ppl (which the cafe does) you are required to have a bathroom unless you are held within a shopping centre (etc) that has dedicated bathrooms. Further - it is entirely my prerogative and the entire purpose of google reviews to provide a negative or positive review with an explanation as to why. A significant amount of people would find having to use a public restroom gross. Further, public restrooms are inherently “low end” Saying it is unnecessarily damaging entirely defeats the purpose of a review, positive or negative. If you have an issue with negative reviews but are fine to accept positive reviews, you should not be working within a hospitality field that is inherently dependent on feedback from customers. Get a life, get a bathroom or take feedback on the chin and move on with your day. Weirdo.

Hi Rochelle, I was the previous owner of Bertoni Cafe. I’m responding because I wanted to clarify that the cafe complies with the requirements and approvals applicable to the premises, including customer bathroom access. While I understand that not every experience will suit every customer, reviews describing a small local business as “gross” and “very low end” are unnecessarily damaging and do not reflect the experience of the thousands of customers who continue to support the cafe each year.
