We went here for the first time last Sunday. I have NO IDEA what took me so long!!! The food here tastes like it's made with love and passion. The smoked cabbage was INCREDIBLE! My son is a picky 9 year old whose favorite food is catfish. He tore up the catfish combo and his yams and asked for more. My husband is a soul food chef, and he gave his smothered chicken and rice two enthusiastic thumbs up! Met a new sister in Christ there, Le Laurelle, and was pleasingly surprised that the cashier recognized me from the November 2022 cover of The Urban Voice magazine they have available in the restaurant. Even was greeted, "Hi Naiomi!" as soon as we walked up by my friend Malachi Williams who did the gorgeous mural on the side of the building. Felt like family right away. Thank you, Best Meat Co.! We will be RIIIGHHTT BACK! God bless you!
