Wow! What a first time experience! The owner walked us through the menu and when the food came out to the table we were not disappointed! Then there was the whole coffee experience which I will let you gentle readers go and experience for yourself. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant. This was our first time going to this little restaurant and it couldn't have been better. There is a large range of excellent African dishes on the menu but because we wanted to sample many of them we asked Jamila, the owner, chef and server to order for us. She offered some suggestions and then brought a large platter with seven different foods (of course all on an injera base). The injera was perfect. Every one of the foods was nicely spiced, perfectly cooked and wonderfully tasty. I don't believe I have ever eaten better African food even when in Africa. The African beer complemented the food perfectly. At the end of the meal Jamila brought us the pan in which she was roasting coffee so we could savor the aroma. She then ground the beans and served us extremely tasty coffee. A small, intimate cafe, a friendly, helpful and skilled hostess, great food. It doesn't get better. We can't wait to go back.
