I want to take a moment to explain the situation and offer our sincerest apologies. Unfortunately, due to a sudden and unforeseen technical issue in the kitchen, we were unable to operate the restaurant. As I’m sure you can appreciate, if the kitchen is unable to prepare food, it becomes impossible for us to serve our guests. Our team made every effort to contact all reservations for the evening as promptly as possible to avoid guests making wasted journeys. However, given the timeframe, we could not reach everyone in time, and we deeply regret that you were affected. I understand how frustrating and disappointing this was, particularly for a special occasion. It was never our intention to come across as dismissive, and I assure you that the entire situation was heartbreaking for us, especially on a busy Saturday night post-Christmas and New Year’s Eve, when we were looking forward to hosting our guests. Regarding your encounter with the staff at the rear, it is possible that they were support staff or porters who may not have been aware of the full details of the technical problem affecting our kitchen. In hindsight, it’s clear that our communication could have been better in such a distressing moment. Today, we are reaching out to all impacted guests to extend our apologies and arrange for a future reservation with a gesture of goodwill to express how sorry we are for this disruption. The compliments from your guests about the venue, meal, and service speak to the outstanding experience you had.
