It can't be that you spend 10 minutes. Waits for a waiter to be told he only has two types of beer. There is a very flowery expression in this restaurant. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Frequent travellers will recognize the situation. You just dragged yourself off the night train and got an hour to kill. It's travel day, so just like at airports, you don't feel guilty getting hammered at 09:00AM. You got an itch to scratch. You are looking for a low key, safe, and clean "filling station". Something genuine, something real, something non-touristy. And there it is, central, obvious. It opens up in front of you, full of local pensioneers who get their fill on a weekday morning. You walk in. First, some give you curious looks. The ice quickly thaws. Before you know, you're three beers in. The locals share stories of their youth in a city that's as down-to-earth and real as them. The thoroughly pleasant waitress chases out an apparent troublemaker who lost their way before they even get a single foot in the door. Nice, obviously she's experienced. You feel welcome, you're part of it. Your cell phone alarm pulls you out of your once-in-a-year bubble in beer-hyperspace. Time to go, you don't want to miss your connection. On your way out, the local tribe who took you in fares you a proper farewell. It's still a weekday morning but you feel like 04:00AM on a Saturday after having crashed in a dive bar. Bye Kurtl, bye Ferdl, bye Peda. See you next year, Bierkanzlei. You will be missed. Price per person: €1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
