My wife and I were thoroughly impressed, the food and service were both outstanding, we will be becoming regulars here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot

We had a fantastic experience at the Bird in Hand. The venue is in a superb location, with a lovely atmosphere and excellent-quality food served at the table. We also had the pleasure of dining while watching an Ed Sheeran tribute act, who was absolutely excellent and really got the crowd up and enjoying themselves. It made for a brilliant evening. But the real highlight has to be the free minibus service, which picks you up and drops you home afterwards. What more could you want? It’s such a fantastic touch and makes the whole experience even better. Great venue, great food, great entertainment and fantastic service — we’ll definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very disappointing. Six of us visited on a Sunday evening. Drinks order messed up. Food was very mediocre, overpriced and not as described. pie of the day turned out to be a dry cheap chip shop type which was supposed to be steak and ale! Service was very slow, and when we asked to see the manageress, she couldn't be bothered to come out and sent a waitress instead. We complained by email and still got nowhere even though our total bill came to £118. The whole experience was an expensive and totally unacceptable way to treat customers.
