It is LOUD. And I hate when people use all caps but that’s how loud it was. Zero buffer for noise and the restaurant wasn’t even that crowded. The server Thomas was quick and nice enough...but when they brought out the pork belly and avocado tacos with no avocados, he told me to “check the menu” and brought a menu over to me to check. When he saw that there was, indeed, supposed to be avocado on the tacos, he said they’d bring a side out. I just thought it weird that he brought a menu to the table for me to double check instead of 1. knowing the menu and 2. treating the patron correctly‍ The manager came over to abruptly ask “if everything was ok?” and sort of scared us. He popped up out of nowhere and looked like he’d been drinking since 11am. Here’s my advice, owners: don’t let employees drink until after their shift. Take the loud tvs out. Turn down the music and put some noise buffers up. Portions are good and the food was pretty good! Tighten the ship and you’ll have a full parking lot every day. While on an extended visit in SC, we decided to do an impromptu girls dinner. We ended up @ Bluefin by the suggestions of 2/3. I was the third party member going in blind because while my dinning companions suggested Bluefin, if I’m honest they were not doing a good job selling it, with their mixed reviews. We arrived @ 7pm on a Saturday. Upon arrival we were asked if we had reservations, which we did not. We were seated immediately because oddly enough the place was not busy. As we perused the menu, we noticed the amount of time that had elapsed without being approached or attended to. As we continued to wait, I immediately thought this is a bad sign. Finally we got a waitress and placed our orders. For starters we ordered: -BLUEFIN CRAB DIP: Lemon Breadcrumbs and Toasted Baguette -CRAB CAKES: Sweet Corn, Black Eyed Peas, Tomatoes, Leeks, Whole Grain Mustard Butter -PRINCE EDWARD MUSSELS: Garlic, White Wine, Herbs, Leeks, Tomatoes, Lemon Butter All were good. Even though I ordered it, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the combination of the sweet corn and black eyed peas of the Crab Cake dish. The Mussels were good and the Crab Dip was ok. For an entrée I went with the PAN SEARED BLACK BASS (BARRAMUNDI) with Fried Brussel Sprouts, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Ginger Soy Vinaigrette. This dish was great! Both my sister and I ordered this and we could not stop raving about it. She was little salty that I had some left for a doggy bag , albeit a small amount, and she finished all of hers. Lol Overall the experience started off shaky but the food was good. Just A Note: The service left much to be desired but the dish I had was memorable. Excellent food and service! The crab cakes were amazing and I usually don't like fruity drinks, but I will definitely get the mermaid martini again. I forgot to take a picture of the salmon, but it was delicious! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Grilled Atlantic Salmon
