I am not used To this but I feel this is the only way I can release what I feel right now . I was discriminated by Helen P. (The manager at BluFish Sushi Bistro). 130 N Northwest Hwy, park Ridge, IL 60068. I am a Grub Hub Driver, today September 04/2020. Around 5:30 pm - 5:40pm, I got one order From BluFish S.B. I arrived to the restaurant, the order was ready therefore I proceed to pickup the food. I tried to go to the bathroom as usual when Helen P. (The manager) looked at me and said "The bathroom is only for our customer". I looked at her very surprised because I thought she was joking but she wasn't. Finally she (Helen P. The manager) denied letting me use the bathroom at BluFish Sushi Bistro. I really needed to use the bathroom but after all this that she told me, the only thing I could do was call Grub Hub to inform that I have bathroom emergency so they removed the order from my Grub Hub app for me to look for a bathroom. I have to confess that at this moment when all this happened I felt very humiliated, angry, sad, discriminated because I was three steps away from the bathroom. I was almost there when she told that I can't use it, my kidneys and bladder hurt, I could not hold the urine anymore. Finally I found a bathroom that I could use at City Barbeque. I talked to the guy over there, I explained him the situation and he let me use the bathroom with not problem and NOT DISCRIMINATIONS. The workers at the restaurants know that we (the drivers) do not have bathrooms in our cars and for this reason they always let us use the bathroom at the restaurants. I use the bathroom constantly at BluFish Sushi Bistro, in fact I used it yesterday. After the pandemic started I used the bathroom at Bluefish like 20 times. In two years that I have been picking up food from this restaurant, Helen P. (The manager at BluFish) is the first person that denied letting me use the bathroom. I just want to clarify that every time a Grub Hub driver goes to pickup food at any restaurant, he is representing a customer. This person pays to the restaurant as any other customer inside or in the patio. We should not be discriminated for using a bathroom. One more thing every time that a customer orders food from any app (Grub Hub, Doordash, Uber eats, postmates, that money is helping to pay the manager's salary (it may make people think twice before discriminating the drivers as Helen p. (The manager did it today with me. I honestly felt like garbage. BluFish Sushi Bistro 130 N Northwest Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068. After this happened I feel like I don't want to work more, I still can't believe what she did. What was the purpose of making people feel less with that actitud?
