Ah, Grace, we’re not a bar or a restaurant, we’re a winery where on weekends people come to taste wines and bring home a few bottles. Your party made two reservations for 5, arrived and became a party of 10. It is clearly stated in our reservation app that if your party is larger than 8 to call us and to arrange your private party. Your party’s deceptive behavior - along with the mess you all made, is why we require a minimum charge for large parties. We understand your rationale for the deception, I was young once too, so I let you stay, and I hoped you were mature enough to understand why we need advance notice to prepare for large parties but –well, did I mention half the party drank soda and sparkling water? That few people even tasted the wine ? So for you to hurt this winery by giving us a low rating because we called you on your deception, well, lesson learned. Should anyone try this again, I will do as I should’ve done with you: send you off to Denny’s.
