Let me put yall on. This spot was amazing. I had just touched down in ATL and thought this would be a quick dinner. I ended up staying there for over 2hr in seafood heaven. We waited for our table but ended up spending the whole time at the bar because our bartender Nerian was going off with mezcal drinks. We started with the boiled peanuts, which told me this flavor was going to be not your average seafood boil spot. The Vietnamese influence was there. Then we moved to charred oysters. They were the perfect mix of butter, crunch, an seasoning. We went for the crawfish Mac and cheese which had the creamiest smoked Gouda cheese sauce. I went to Bon Ton for a night out with a friend, but the experience was completely ruined by the bartender, Cam. While the food was great, Cam’s unprofessional behavior overshadowed it. He spent more time trying to flirt with my friend than actually doing his job. Our food order was delayed, and I was practically ignored as a customer, to the point where I didn’t even want to order a second drink because he was so focused on talking to her. When our other friend ( a male) arrived, Cam’s attitude shifted and he became outright rude, slamming drinks on the table and making snide comments about our bill as if we were taking advantage of my friend. His behavior was uncalled for, especially given the automatic 20% gratuity, which he clearly thinks entitles him to do whatever he wants. The food is great here, but if you want respectful, attentive service, avoid sitting at the bar if Cam is working.
