We visited 1847 today i hada plough man which was very poor the ham was very salty and the port pie had a very strange taste. I mentioned it to one of the waitress who ask if I wanted anything else. After the salty ham etc I said no however I would have a piece of cake which I was told by a different waitress I would have to pay for the cake however I could have a coffee. My lunch was inedible and I had to pay ,£10.95 for the pleasure. Some of the staff was very abrupt which you would not expect for Booths and the prices they charge!

We ordered 2 coffees and 1 sandwich and our trip took over an hour and a half. The service is so ridiculously slow here. The coffees arrived in an ok amount of time but were very average (there are better places for coffee in Clitheroe). We then proceeded to wait well over an hour for the sandwich to turn up, by which point we’d both long finished our coffees. My husband said the sandwich was just ok, certainly not worth the hour wait. Much better options elsewhere in Clitheroe to be honest. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
