I've actually never been to Boston Pizza before, but it was so comically bad I likely won't ever visit one again. There were maybe 6 other tables in the restaurant when we arrived, it was dead. They took our order quickly but then we waited an hour for the food to come out. The waiter said they were busy with takeout orders...wonderful. I'm physically here, paying to waste my time in your black warehouse of TVs and awful country music, while you're prioritising Kyle, whose sat at home in his underwear, scratching himself and watching Wheel of Fortune. I would love to be sat at home, scratching myself and watching WoF! My friend, against his better judgement, ordered a Guinness, which was the saddest looking pint I've ever seen. 1/5 head, poured an inch short, presumably by a bored teenager who hates this place as much as I do. When the food came out, my vegetarian friend's salad had bacon, and the pasta was cold on all of our dishes. We sent them back, to be returned shortly by a different waiter, looking a little worse for wear and a couple of degrees warmer. "You got a cold one, eh" said the waiter. Yeah mate, I paid $30 for cold pasta, hilarious. We ate quick, our plates snatched up by the waiter while we were still choking down the last bite of tepid mush, and left; 90mins after sitting down. If you want to recreate the Boston Pizza experience and ambiance, without having to drop 40 bucks, I recommend eating a part-warmed through microwave lasagne in the TV section of Best Buy, while a getting a bored teenager to ask "How's everything tasting so far? Can I get you another drink?" every 30 seconds. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This was not our first visit to a BP. We have been to some in our travels across B.C. It was better than we remembered. We ordered two personal pan pizzas and one kids’ meal with bug mac and cheese. The whiskey BBQ chicken pizza was heavy and sweet, and was a contrast to the light healthy taste of my dining companion’s pizza which was very fresh tasting tomatoes on it with vegetables. The oily crunchy crust was so delicious that I ended up eating it all. My daughter loved her Mac and cheese. It came with a sundae, for which she choose all the toppings at once, and a lemonade. Unfortunately we were charged extra for the lemonade which should have been included and had to ask for the $3.99 lemonade to be refunded after we paid the bill. The waitress gave us back $4 in coins, which does not return our extra taxes and tips. Seems like a lack of attention to detail in this one. It wasn’t very busy so maybe she had too many tables to wait on? We chose this because it was within walking distance of our hotel. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
