The review is as a follow-up to the 2025-2026 New Year's Eve party. Although the hotel is new, beautifully decorated, and the attention to detail is what you would expect from a 5-star hotel, unfortunately, it became a playground for "Romanian elites", and it is accepted by the management (after looking at former reviews, the same behaviour was reported in the past; this is why I am leaving a one star review and not 2 or 3 as I initially intended). In short, the New Year's Eve was very well crafted, the food was perfect, the music was on par with what you would expect for a Romanian experience (I would have opted out of wedding-type songs after midnight, but it is a local flavour which can be expected). The main problem with the event was the fact that after midnight, there was a table of a "Romanian public figure" and people from his table started smoking cigars in the restaurant. Being an old building, the premises are not properly ventilated for such heavy smoking, and even though I spoke with the main waiter and mentioned that this is not acceptable, especially since there were even small children attending the event. The main waiter just had a conversation with the people in question The result was that even more people started smoking (from one smoker to 3 people smoking), and we ended up with pieces of meat on our table. At the end, the staff tried to serve us with an additional dessert, mentioning that they do not have a spoon and we have to eat with our hands, which was unwelcomed, to say the least. Probably this was thier 5 star way to excuse their lack of power, which I personally will not, as we expected a high-standard event and we got to attend a personal party of a questionable group of persons. Therefore, I would highly recommend avoiding attending a big event at this venue (Chrismas party, New Year Eve, Easter Party or other major events) or you should accept heavy smoking and lack of competence on behalf of the staff for enforcing decency in the restaurant. An absolutely extraordinary evening at Boulevard 73 Corinthia Bucharest, marking the very first Michelin dinner in the city – and what a milestone it was. From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was pure elegance, blending timeless grandeur with a sense of anticipation for something truly historic. The dinner was a symphony of flavors, textures, and artistry – each course executed with precision, creativity, and the unmistakable finesse of Michelin- 2 starred mastery of Chef David Martin. The wine pairings elevated the experience beautifully, while the service was nothing short of flawless: gracious, attentive, and effortlessly refined.
