Excellent service. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent with a menu that had just the right amount of variety. Oh and the chocolate brownies are to die for.

First impressions always count. Entrance to the restaurant was shabby dead plants in pots. Steep stairs on entrance was greeted by friendly staff. Shown to our table early which was great. Decoration was plain and looked a little tired. Menus came quickly but took a while before they asked what we wanted . Really should have asked early even if it was just to order a drink. We ordered garlic prawns and bruschetta both were very nice. Mains we ordered the salmon and the chicken breast. Salmon was fine but the chicken came with dark soggy but hard in the middle apparently homemade fries. I have to say they looked terrible and tasted disgusting. Returned the meal only to be told "it was my own personnel taste & they were meant to be like that" what ever happened to customer service ? Pudding we had Eton mess which was nothing special even though it was recommended. The cheese & biscuits was good value for money. On our booking 'special request' I advised it was a birthday meal. Perhaps you should take note and a personnel touch wish them a happy birthday Very disappointed perhaps I was expecting too much thinking it was Steve Bulls restaurant
