We didn't have the best start to our visit to Brera and nearly went elsewhere. We asked to substitute a side (parsnip mash) with baby potatoes, (and offered to pay extra) but for some unexplained reason, this was not possible. I dont know if this was due to pricing or the chef being pretentious, but it wasn't explained clearly to us why it couldn't be done. Their loss, as my wife's alternative choice was €10 less. We gave them the benefit of the doubt as our waitress was polite, efficient and friendly, although clearly a little embarrassed as to why the change couldn't be made. We shared burrata and foccacia to start, the bread was light, freshly baked and delicious and the fresh rocket, baby plum tomatoes dressed in olive oil and pesto with a generous piece of buratta were really tasty. Main courses were a moist pan roasted chicken breast with baby vegetables and jus and fettuccine with shrimps, in augelemeno sauce. Both were presented really well, cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Overall, excellent food, very smart decor, great service but personally, I think a little flexibility when it comes to customer requests would enhance Brera's reputation further. We will return, but probably won't ask for any substitutes! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50+

Overall, food was good tons of smokers on the outside making the meal on pleasurable. Staff was a little slow tonight. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €25–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
