Okay super disappointed about this one. My salad was okay. I had arugula salad. Caesar salad was so bitter and garlicky and salty that he couldn't eat it. My entree was basically alfredo with some onions and some chicken in it and sweet peppers which was okay. His meal was chicken and prosciutto tortellini. There was about seven tortellinis in the bowl with already broken sauce that came out. Gordon Ramsay would not be happy. Tea was good if I can say that and the server was okay. She was nice. The host did a lot more for us than anybody else by filling our tea and making sure we were okay. So I'm going to be a hard path on this one next time. Sorry. Not for $120! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Bruno’s Italian Restaurant is an absolute standout. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between warm, inviting, and upscale without feeling overdone. A huge part of what makes Bruno’s so special is the leadership. Jess, the GM, clearly sets the tone—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel valued. That level of care shows up in every detail, from the service to the overall vibe of the restaurant. And the food absolutely delivers. The lobster ravioli is a must-try—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. It’s one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. Between the exceptional leadership, inviting atmosphere, and standout dishes, Bruno’s is a place I’ll keep coming back to and recommending to others. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I dined in at Bruno's Italian Restaurant last Tuesday February 13th and i had heard great things about it but I hadn't been there before. It's a very nice place inside and I was greeted immediately by the hostess and I sat at a table instead of the bar area. My waitress (who also one of the bartenders) came over and greeted me and asked what I would like to drink. I ordered water with lemon but I also wanted to order one martini so my waitress (I apologize I forgot her name) suggested their signature martini which is an espresso martini, so I ordered one of those and I ordered an appetizer eggplant parmesan and told her that I would look over the menu for my entree. There were several customers there and the bar area has a tv to watch sports shows. All the food I saw being served looked amazing and I asked a few tables near me how their food was and they all said "excellent". My drink arrived and I ordered the Pasta Carbonara for my entree. Okay the Espresso Martini was amazing! My appetizer arrived shortly afterwards and it was THE BEST I have had for so long (a few years ago in St. Louis "Hill" area is the only other place where it was this good), you have to try it. About 15 minutes later the Pasta Carbonara arrived and it looked and smelled amazing! Okay so what I said about the Eggplant Parmesan goes doubly for the Pasta Carbonara! It was the most delicious dish and perfectly prepared with balanced flavors and perfect seasoning. I am so looking forward to going back. Bruno's Italian Restaurant is located on South Street just south of Walnut Street. I urge everyone to visit because it is SO MUCH BETTER than other Italian restaurants in Springfield Mo. All these buildings downtown are old and elegant but it is a bit noisy inside but that's true of all the restaurants downtown. 10 stars for the food, service and 8 stars for the ambiance.
