I did put two stars review but I’m working in the F&B industry as well so I know how hard it is to build the reviews up so I changed it to 4 stars. My first exeperience was good but this is the second time and I feel it down hill. We order 4 Com Tam and repeated many times that one of them “no onion” and the waitress did confirm it with us. Brought out all with onion, we sent back as my brother can not eat onion at all and the dish brought out again in just 1 minute and apparently they just simply scoop out the onion on the top. Under the meat still have some left over onion and onion oil on to the rice which he could not eat much. We just skip it as we don’t want to make it a really big deal. Besides that, despite the restaurant was slow, none of the serves ever check on us. There was one piece of sponge left in our dish which make the experience at “0” point at this time. I would not write this bad review if there is a server came to check on us so we can nicely brought it to their attention but none of them came to check on our table. Very disappointed experience today. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

This marks our fifth visit to this charming little restaurant in the food court of Hong Kong city mall, where we indulge in com tam, a traditional Vietnamese broken rice dish. I decided to invest $100 in their gift card to take advantage of the complimentary sugarcane drink offered to cardholders. Feeling quite hungry, we opted to order four of their most popular dishes: 1 Bun Bo Hue 1 Mi Bo Kho 2 Com Tam Dac Biet This is our second attempt at trying the Bun Bo Hue (BBH) here. I noticed that the broth has improved this time, with a more pronounced lemongrass flavor. Additionally, I discovered a side sauce that can be added to the broth, allowing for a bolder taste. I think it's a great idea to offer a special sauce on the side, giving diners the option to customize the flavor of their broth. The Mi Bo Kho (Noodle Beef Stew) was quite decent, filled with its own aromatic flavors. However, I would recommend they ease up on the five-spice seasoning in the broth. Lastly, we tried their new dish, Com Tam Dac Biet (Traditional Vietnamese Broken Rice Special Combo). I've sampled broken rice dishes all over Houston, from north to south and east to west, but none have quite matched the authentic taste of Vietnam—until now. Unfortunately, my plate today was a bit disappointing; much of the broken rice was mushy and stuck together, and the BBQ pork was drier than during my previous four visits. On the bright side, they still included fresh chopped carrots and cucumber, along with a mixed fish sauce to accompany the rice. I would be willing to return for another try, but if the quality doesn't improve next time, I may have to look elsewhere. I sincerely hope they maintain consistent food quality because they have one of the tastiest broken rice dishes around. They just need to work on ensuring the BBQ meats are less dry and the broken rice isn't mushy. The servers and waitstaff are friendly and professional, but the server could improve on attentiveness, as my partner had to ask for her to-go box twice and is still waiting. Meal type: Lunch

Heard so much about this place on social media for having one of the best Bún Bò Huế, and you know me—I love BBH, so of course I had to try it. We came for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was really busy, but there was no wait. The staff were very friendly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. I love the decorations in there really Hue, I forgot to took picture lol. I ordered the regular Bún Bò Huế (without oxtail). It came with everything a good BBH should have, but what really surprised me was the crab cake. I have never seen a restaurant include this, and it’s actually the real Vietnamese way. I clearly remember eating BBH in Vietnam and it always came with crab cake, but this is the only place I’ve seen do it here. I was genuinely impressed. It also came with a dipping sauce, which I believe is a mix of shrimp paste, minced lemongrass, a little oil, and kumquat juice. It was so good and completely changed my mind—I never thought BBH needed a dipping sauce, but this one works perfectly. The BBH itself was piping hot and full of flavor. If you like your BBH more bold and salty like I do, you can ask for raw shrimp paste and add a bit in—highly recommend. Honestly, this place might be my #1 BBH spot so far. It has everything I want in a bowl of BBH, so hands down to Bụi Quán. My husband ordered the Bò Kho (Vietnamese beef stew), which is his favorite, so he’s very strict with his opinion. He thought it was really good—flavorful, not too soupy. We asked for extra carrots and they were very generous. I tried it too and agreed—the flavor was there and the color looked great. Both dishes came with two full baskets of vegetables, and they definitely didn’t skimp. I love that—it really reminded me of Vietnam. Service was great overall. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Before leaving, we grabbed a sugarcane juice. For $6, you get a pretty big cup—definitely worth it. It was refreshing, and I loved the slight sourness from the kumquat. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Great food, good prices, and excellent service.
