Fuimos a cenar dos veces y nos trataron genial. Había cerveza y la comida la pedimos sin picante y así fue. Además, al día siguiente quisimos repetir pero está vez para cenar el hostel y, fuimos a pedir la cena para llevar. Casualmente había una fiesta privada pero nos atendieron sin problemas! Un absoluto 10!

Cocoba Restaurant is a hidden gem in Kandy, perfect for anyone looking for a cozy and relaxed dining spot. Being a BYOB place adds to its charm, letting you enjoy your own drinks with tasty, well-prepared food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, making it great for a laid-back outing. On top of that, the staff provide friendly and quick service, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth finding this little hidden spot. Service: 5

I visited Cocoba in Kandy expecting a relaxed, "chill" spot to unwind, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in almost every department. If you’re looking for a comfortable vibe and high-quality food, this might not be the place for you. The Atmosphere: Far from "Chill" the atmosphere felt completely off. Instead of the laid-back, earthy vibe I was expecting, the space felt uninviting and poorly managed. Music was awkwardly low—not in a "moody" way, but in a way that just made the space feel gloomy. The seating wasn't particularly comfortable, and it lacks the cohesive "cool" factor. Food & Drinks: Below Average The food was the biggest letdown. For the price point, the quality just isn't there: Flavor: Most of the dishes were remarkably bland. The "authentic" spices felt muted or rushed. Texture: My meal arrived lukewarm, and the textures were off—the fried elements were greasy rather than crispy, and the rice felt like it had been sitting out. Value: When the bill arrived, it felt steep. Paying premium prices for "below average" food is never a good feeling. Very limited parking available, if you wish to take your vehicle, think twice because theres only 2 or 3 car parking spots and you will be asked to move your vehicle if other vehicles need to be moved out. Final Verdict There are plenty of spots in Kandy with better views, better food, and a much more genuine "chill" vibe. Cocoba feels like it’s trying to be a trendy hangout but misses the mark on both comfort and culinary execution. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a satisfying night out.
