Tucked into a beautifully preserved piece of Old Town history, this speakeasy doesn’t just reference the Prohibition era, it fully immerses you in it. The moment you walk in, you’re transported to 1920s Chicago, right down to the lighting, the sound, and the energy of the room. It’s theater and dining rolled into one. The food is where Caché really surprises. Rather than leaning on nostalgia alone, the kitchen brings a distinctly modern sensibility to the menu. The caviar course is a standout: precise, elegant, and clearly the work of a kitchen that understands restraint as much as flavor. But the real showstopper is the golden beans: a clever, playful dish that finishes with a lingering espresso note. It’s unexpected, a little theatrical, and genuinely delicious, the kind of bite you’ll still be thinking about the next day.
