I went here for neopolitan pizza that’s been hyped about at cafe 28. Wondering if they can walk the talk. Well they did, awesome authentic pizza to be had here. 1 of my favourite margheritas anywhere. The char on the crust and crisp that goes with it added to the woody flavour. The centre just thick enough to hold the weight of the toppings. The tomato base just the right amount of acid, sweetness and salt. The fresh basil to top it of just perfect. The fried mini margherita was quite good too as well as the gelato and pannacotta. Great experience, will be trying it again soon, very soon. Note: returned after 3 years, all I can say is that they have gotten better. Better pizza, pillowy crust, spongy, chewy and soft, really tasty. See the last 3 pizza pics. Prices haven’t even gone up much in 3 years. Still the best pizza in jhb, amongst the best in SA. Better service too.

This hidden gem has a lot to offer .. including the imported Burrata (my obsession). The menu is limiting but as I said the Burrata is next level. Try it out.
