Kafejnīca Elizabete (Cafe Elizabete) is a small cafe on the shore of Lake Ķīšezera next to Ķīšezera beach. It's a self service cafe serving hot & cold drinks, food & ice creams with plenty of outdoor seating by the side of the lake, hammocks & garden hanging egg chairs for customers to sit on and relax in. To get to Ķīšezera beach by Lake Ķīšezera, which is in the heavily forested area of Mezaparks, we parked on the main road (Meza Prospekts) about 0.25km walk from Riga Zoo and from there it was another 1km walk to the beach. We had a cuppa tea in the afternoon sun at one of the many lakeside cafe tables, soaking up the wonderful sunshine whilst enjoying the beautiful views of the lake, before I went for an explore around the lakeside. There are a couple of free portakabin toilets next to the cafe for customers or indeed for any visitors to this part of the Mezaparks to use.
